Restore accessibility to Social Security services via telephone and internet.

Created by S.H. on July 20, 2015

Currently, access to Social Security services by telephone is completely broken. The telephone tree system simply fails, callers are disconnected routinely, the system fails to register keystrokes, and operators cannot hear callers who manage to stay connected long enough to reach them.
The website suffers from similar functional issues, with information missing or inaccessible due to missing pages or loading issues. The Contacts page that would allow access to the address and hours of the local office never loads and gives error messages.
These issues have resulted in Federal programs and benefits becoming inaccessible to even those who qualify.
Offices are clogged with routine inquiries. And the most needy and vulnerable are locked out.
