Lawmakers approved changes to the Medicaid program in Illinois in 2012, limiting dental coverage for adults. With these cuts, adult recipient's can no longer get exams and x-rays, cleanings or fillings. Adults are limited to extractions, on an emergency basis. People can no longer receive even the most basic dental care. Dental coverage for all people shouldn't be "optional", it should be required. Where are the people that are no longer covered supposed to have dental work? Dental Schools - Maybe, but first you are pre-screened and then put on a waiting list. And, in most cases still charged for the work. Dental Clinics - Most dental clinics still require hefty fees. Oral hygiene plays a big role in our overall health, sign the petiton so people can get the benefits they need. Thankyou.
