Among other reasons for withdrawing our nation's membership in the United Nations are two very important ones as of 2012: Agenda 21 and the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST).
Getting out of the UN would help curtail U.S. involvement in the implementation of the UN's Agenda 21, which in turn would help preserve our individual rights, especially private property rights, as well as our form of limited government under the Constitution. in fact, Section 8 of H.R. 1146 would repeal the United Nations Environment Program Participation Act of 1973, thus freeing us from participation in UN environmental programs.
