Restore and modify the music education system in US Public Schools.

Created by P.B. on November 13, 2012

As a musician, I am appalled at how uncaring the public school system is when to comes to music education. In order for many students to actually learn music, they must seek outside sources that often charge ridiculous amounts of money for one to two hour lessons. I believe that the Obama Administration should restore, expand, and fix the music education system in the US public school system in order to not only create new jobs for musicians like me, but to also enable the young people of the United States to expand their cultural palette. Include guitar classes, drum classes et cetera...studies have shown that music increases brain functionality as well as a better understanding in mathematics. Please save the minds of our youth!
