The City of Chicago has become too large an entity. We call upon the Obama Administration to work to restore Chicago to its pre-1889 boundaries, making Hyde Park and other areas annexed in and after 1889 independent cities.
While the administration would not typically exercise control over municipal boundaries, it could offer incentives to the Illinois General Assembly to make municipal Balkanization occur.
