We ask that President Obama take whatever step necessary to restore the basic civil rights of the citizens of Ferguson, Missouri. If necessary, we ask that the federal government to withdraw the excessive paramilitary equipment, especially armored vehicles, provided to the Ferguson Police Department by the federal government.
Due to the police riot carried out by the Ferguson PD on August 13, 2014, we ask that you consider sending in the National Guard to disarm the Ferguson PD and restore order and basic civil rights in Ferguson, Missouri. Further, we ask that you prioritize the investigation of the killing of Michael Brown and any steps taken by the Ferguson PD to obstruct justice in this investigation.
