After damage to Gateway National Park sustained from Hurricane Sandy, the National Park Service is changing the status of Gunnison Beach in New Jersey. This beach has been the ONLY clothing-optional between New York and Miami, Florida. While this style of sunbathing is socially acceptable throughout the world, Americans are significantly restricted in this right. We do not ask for all beaches to be clothing optional, we ask only for a small area where we can be free to enjoy the beach and ocean responsibly as we wish, away from those who do not choose this lifestyle. It is a request which will cost the Federal Government nothing and draws tourists to this unique area, supporting local businesses and the local economy.
