THE CONSTITUTION, in the 15th Amendment, guarantees that the "right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be DENIED or ABRIDGED by the United States or by any STATE".
Although political parties are private entities, the nomination process is clearly a public election event, paid for with tax dollars in most cases and regulated by THE STATE through voter registration.
When THE STATE does not allow a legally registered voter to participate in a public election, it clearly is ''DENYING'' that citizen his right to vote.
THE STATE, by actively changing voter rolls without the consent of the voter, is clearly ''ABRIDGING'' those rights as well.
If voting is a form of speech, the 1st Amendment comes into play as well.
