The word credibility has lots of meanings. Alternatively, it means capability of being believed, to command belief or to truthfulness or correctness of what one says. In other words, credibility means that whatever a person says, he believes in it. In the U.S. Army it's important that our leadership are credible leader. At the moment there is a credibility gap between what our leaders today say and what they actually do. I’m hardly the only one who has noted the discrepancy between official statements and the truth. One of my experiences in the Army was being in a position as a Platoon Sergeant. I had personally witnessed Commander’s and Senior Non-Commissioned Officer’s, conduct wrongdoing and injustice.
