The 51 year old trade embargo that was put upon the nation of Cuba is old, archaic and embarrassing. We have restored relations with the People's Republic of China and Vietnam, and so we must do this for Cuba. For a nation 90 miles off the coast of Florida, it would be an ideal trading partner for the United States. It is time to end an old Cold War rivalry, especially when the reasons no longer exist.
