Restore the Ellis Island Hospital, and direct that all immigrants process through it.

This petition suggests that restoring Ellis Island to its former function would give all international folks the location of America's "Front Door", and allow for proper processing and documentation to be performed, as well as provide a first line of defense to foreign diseases entering and infecting local folk. Additionally, there are numerous other benefits, this "rite of passage" would provide, to include the creating a sense of unity and understanding of Americanism, and what becoming a part of the American Family means (historic landmarks, monuments, museums, etc). At very least let's restore the hospital and grounds and use it for back up if needed, and otherwise as a museum and place of learning.
