Restore the Fairness Doctrine

Created by M.S. on December 27, 2015

As Broadband Service Providers and those persons controlling internet platforms reaching millions of people daily could reasonably be considered Servants of the Public’s Trust, and given the existing protocol for said internet services; adhering to the principles upheld in Red Lion Broadcasting Co. v. FCC, (1969) is practical and vital for Democracy’s survival. Therefore we call upon President Obama to apply his expertise as a Constitutional Scholar to adapting the essential elements of the Fairness Doctrine to today’s internet platforms and persuade his allies in the House and Senate to introduce and pass such legislation for his signature.
