Restore the Fairness Doctrine

Created by D.K. on September 23, 2011

Since the FCC abandoned the Fairness Doctrine, partisan and divisive broadcasters have dominated the airwaves. Although there are a proliferation of forms of media, most Americans rely on broadcast television and radio as their primary source of news.

Our national dialogue has been poisoned by sectarian voices and a lack of real dialog and debate. Restoring the Fairness Doctrine would go a long way towards restoring balance and exposing citizens to opposing and varied viewpoints.
