Not all have access or know how to use computers in ways required by IRS to comply with filing obligations in 2012. Others are simply not comfortable doing their taxes "in cyberspace," or cannot afford tax preparers to do so. Yet others might not have the disposable income or leisure to learn how, because of family, work, & other obligations.
Making this harder & more unpleasant for so many seems contradictory.
In the past the IRS has likely been an important Postal Service customer, now accounting for some of that agency's increasing problems also.
Make filing easier for all, not just some, or even many.
