Given that we are losing an acre of wetlands every 38 minutes and
Given that wetlands help protect land from storm surge and
Given wetlands are important ecological habitats and
Given wetlands help mitigate the gulf coast "dead zone" and
Given the importance of the region to the national economy and
Given that the situation will get worse with climate change
We Propose that the administration redirect funds to more effectively promote the restoration of Gulf Coast Wetlands.
