The law that keeps 'Convicted Felons' from ever owning a firearm needs to be revised. Not all 'Felons are bad people or have committed crimes with a firearm. A person who has done his/her time and has been off Parole for a period of 20 years should be able to have his/her rights re-instated!
Once upon a time when a person was released from prison they were given a Horse, $20 gold piece and a Rifle. Every Citizen of the United States should have the right to 'bear arms' and defend themselves.
If any person should violate the law after having their rights restored. They should then be sent back to prison for the remainder of their life without the need for a trial.
