We request and strongly urge the restoration of darkening the engraved information on the burial markers of military veterans, an honor they have so rightly earned and deserve. Without the lithochrome inking, the names and honors earned are barely visible, even from a distance of only 3 feet.
Previously inked markers from many years past are still clearly visible, while recent ones uninked appear BLANK. This is very disturbing to veterans and their families who visit their loved ones at the National Cementeries today.
The veterans here wished to buried beside their commrads in these cemeteries with dignity and honor for their sacrifice and service to the United States of America.
Restore and honor these veteran by inking their names into the proud history of the United States.
