Through no fault of the employee, but lack of due diligence by the government by failing to pass a budget by the expiration date, employees were in effect laid off, and forced to work a shortened work week, thus denying the employee full time pay and creating unnecessary hardships. For the Department of Defense employees that was for a total period of 48 hours charged to leave without pay. Other departments had different amounts. We the people demand reimbursement of this lost pay.
