For many years, Congress has decreased NASA's budget. This has caused NASA to lose the esteem and technological advancement in order to build new robotic landers to explore other planetary system. Also, there should be enough funds on hand to continue man exploration of the Moon, Mars and beyond.
During the space race of the 1960's, NASA helped to devise the first computers and other technological breakthroughs.
We should not lag in the exploration of space.
