This petition aims to bring the public's attention to the loopholes found within the Clean Water Act of 1972. In 2002, under the administration of President George W. Bush, Section 404 of the CWA expanded what could be considered "fill material" and dumped into American waterways and wetlands, endangering sanitation, drinking water, wildlife, and the beauty of this nation. For years the American people, sportsmen, brewers, farmers, and average citizens have worked to see these loopholes closed and protections for our waters restored.
