Restore the number of US Representatives to the number originally enumerated in the US Constitution.

Created by T.G. on December 09, 2012

In the original text of the Constitution of the United States, the House of Representatives was apportions to be a minimum of one representative per state, and not to exceed one per 30,000. Over time the apportionment changed, and in 1929 was set in the US code at 435 total representatives. As a result individual representatives are representing a larger and large number of voters and taxpayers. This small number also makes it easy for corporations to, through gifts, election support, and lobbying, push congress in a direction they see fit, and not one that is what the voters wanted.
We the undersigned demand that congress follow the Constitution, the overriding law of the United States, and return us to 1 representative per 30,000 persons, meaning over 10,000 representatives in the USA
