Major League Baseball Rule 6.10, known as the designated hitter rule, adopted by the American League in 1973 has created a separate but equal set of rules that discriminates against the National League who instead opts to play baseball like real Americans.
With all of the fear currently circulating through the country regarding their 2nd amendment right to bear arms, they are currently ignoring the very real fear that someday this rule may pollute the National League as well for fear of being at a competitive disadvantage. Once this happens, what is next? Designated runners for the catchers? Designated parasols for the dugout?
We the people request that President Obama use the full weight of his office to persuade Major League Baseball that this 40 year atrocity's days are numbered!
