Implement a Plan of Action now to reverse the gerrymandering of House Districts by Republicans in 2012.
As a result of recent pervasive Republican gerrymandering of House Districts the House of Representatives no longer reflects the popular vote as called for in the Constitution. In the 2012 House elections nationwide, 1.4 million more Democratic votes were cast than Republican ones. Based on that margin Democrats should control the House by a 6 seat margin. Yet Republicans secured a very large 33 seat advantage. In effect, this 39 seat swing away from the popular vote result represents the suppression of 9% of all popular votes cast or about 9 million votes. Until popular majority representation is restored to the House no initiatives supported by the majority of Americans will pass.
