Restore public transportation to the people of Bakersfield, California

Created by G.A. on August 06, 2014

The survival and livelihood of the people of Bakersfield are at stake. This is a state of emergency. Since July 16, 2014, the city of Bakersfield has not had public transportation due to a bus driver strike. It is not an exaggeration to state that the human and civil rights of the people of Bakersfield are being violated as we speak. For every day that the GET Bus Union Team refuses to reach a settlement for this strike, the people of Bakersfield are losing jobs, are unable to go to work, buy groceries, keep doctors appointments and take their children to school. Please sign this petition to ask the Obama Administration to force a binding arbitration between GET and the Union Team. Help restore public transportation to the people of Bakersfield.
