Restore the right to keep and bear firearms to non-violent and non-habitual felons.

Created by D.F. on November 21, 2011

The blanket prohibition that bans non-violent and non-habitual felons from owning firearms is unjust. In fact, it can and it does put many Americans in a situation of not being able to protect the most important thing in life, life it self. Many Americans may know of such people, who may have found themselves on the wrong side of the law in their younger years. But as time passes, those same people have in a sense, grown into outstanding and law abiding people. Of whom now have families to protect from violent and possibly deadly attacks.

The second amendment of the constitution for these united states of America specifically states, "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." A blanket prohibition is a violation without Due Process for the individual.
