restore the Right-to-Vote to felons who've served their time.

Created by J.A. on October 27, 2011

We believe that ex-felons who have satisfied their debt to society by fulfilling the terms of their conviction deserve the right to vote. They continue to exist within our political system and should have the opportunity to participate in the process of selecting our elected officials.

We, as a civil society, should welcome the efforts by some ex-felons to operate as functional members of the population. Fundamental to that is one's ability to participate in the electoral process.

The Obama administration should regard the restoration of the right-to-vote to all ex-felons, nationally, as a core principle of re-enfranchisement.
