Restorative justice is necessary for reentry of convicts into mainstream society. It does them nor society any good if they will be forever denied rights and privileges afforded to other citizens especially after repaying their debt.
Once a car is paid for that is it. So it should be with ex-offenders.
We call on the White House and the Attorney General to stop the disenfranchisement of ex-felons and restore all rights to vote, hold office or any other right or privilege denied that would prevent their pursuit of a full life, liberty or happiness.
This policy so far has created an under-caste class of citizens that has open doors for corrupt and rogue state officials to discriminate against protected classes of people and we want an end to it now.
