Restore the rights of people who have convictions for non-violent offenses

In this country there are virtually hundreds of thousands of people who have run afoul of the law, an example would be Martha Stewart. These people, many of them whose crimes resulted in probation, have had their rights taken away. As a result they cannot vote, hold public office, and many of them have a herd time finding jobs because they must put on their applications that they have a criminal conviction. which in turns creates a hardship on society as many of these people have no choice but to apply for public assistance just to live. I petition the government to issue automatic pardons to these people once their probation has been completed and do not require them to answer "yes" to the conviction question on job applications.
