Section 203 of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 restricts access to the SSA DMF for 3 years, unless certified by the Dept. of Commerce. PBI requests your support to insure the flow of death information remains constant & demonstrate the legitimate needs of clients to the Dept of Commerce. PBI's clients utilize our services to eliminate fraud and fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities. PBI agrees to maintain the data with all the security safeguards required. PBI is also petitioning that the SSA DMF file be restored with the state EDR records removed in Nov of 2011 due to the re-interpretation of Section 205(r) to certified users. The 40% reduction in records has resulted in pension overpayments & fraud. PBI incurs the cost of certification, its prudent for us to receive the full file!
