The United States withdrew from the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE) several years ago. This petition urges the White House to rejoin this organization.
Why? The bureau regulates International Expositions, also known as world's fairs. By not being a member America can no longer hold a world's fair recognized by the BIE.
Our ability to have one again would be beneficial to local economies, create jobs and benefit our international relations.
