Restore US funding of UNESCO.

Created by L.S. on November 01, 2011

On October 31, the US opted to end funding to UNESCO. This was a reaction to the successful motion to admit Palestine to UNESCO. The motion succeeded with a strong majority: 107 for, 14 against and 52 abstaining.

Funds from the US account for nearly 20% of UNESCO funding. These funds help with efforts to eradicate poverty, increase access to education and more.

By removing our funding due to Palestine's inclusion, we are putting ourselves on the wrong side of history. Please correct this mistake.
