The employees of the Navy Yard had to take liberal leave (vacation time) in the days following the shooting incident. This is a travesty! They should be afforded the time to recover without taking their own vacation/sick time. The site was not even open from 9/17-9/18, however they still had to take leave. Giving them time to recover is the least we can do to support our civilian and military employees of the Navy Yard.
