The Federal Government should restore voting rights to former criminals in the United States of America. We have millions of people who are barred from voting because of felony charges, and because they are not allowed to vote, they are not being represented in our Representative Democracy. In fact, there are more restrictive laws on voting than gun control in the US, even though both of them are rights in America. Allowing former criminals to vote will increase voter turnout in the US and elect politicians who more accurately represent the people of their district.
