Per the Lautenberg Amendment, this petition is requesting that the following section of the law stating that “expungement of the conviction” will re-instate your 2nd amendment right be amended to include all of the following, “expungement, set aside & dismissed” in order to satisfy the federal requirement to reinstate your 2nd amendment right. Currently under CA law, anyone convicted of MCDV misdemeanor where their conviction was “set aside/dismissed” is not eligible because Federal Law only recognizes the word “expungement”.
