restrict alcohol advertisements on television and radio broadcast stations between the hours of 5am and 10pm.

Created by J.D. on October 22, 2013

The American Journal of Public Health from March 2010 reports that over 5,000 youth die each year due to intoxication. They also deal with a list of hefty consequences, which include but are not limited to: rape, pregnancy, unprotected sex, academic failure and other substance abuse. The Pediatrics journal on January 28, 2013 concludes in their study, “Alcohol ad exposure and the affective reaction to those ads influence some youth to drink more and experience drinking-related problems later in adolescence.” These ads are being viewed by young children, which cause problems in later years of their lives.

We need to greatly restrict alcohol advertising in the United States.
