We the people of these United States of America, under the Constitution, restrict the banning of gay marriage in our 50 states. As stated in the fourteenth amendment, Section 1, of the United States Constitution, it states: "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." Under no circumstances does a ban of gay marriage law come forth in the Constitution, or in the Bill of rights. Therefore, also under the Declaration of Independence, our citizens should be free to gay marriage, as long as the laws are stated and followed clearly.
