It is obvious to most reasonably intelligent people that the majority of politicians in the U.S. serve the interests of those who spent the most on their campaign and that excludes the general population. Efforts must be made to get the concentrated political power away from corporations and special moneyed interest groups. Wealth and political power are tied to each other in the U.S. in such an unhealthy way that the common citizen is left with no chance for improvement unless they happen to be a part of a larger corporate or wealthy organization and even then, they must accept what is handed out to them. Campaign finance reform is needed to attempt to get the government working for the people again, not the wealthy corporate entities (which the Supreme Court now thinks of as "people).
