Gun violence is at an extreme high. However, guns are much less dangerous if they don't have ammo to fire. I propose that focus on restrictions should not be placed on the firearm, but more on the ammunition.
1) Ammo can't be sold online; 2) No one can posses more than 6 bullets at a time; 3) All ammo must be purchased via a certified dealership overseen by a local public safety department (such as a police department); 4) Dealerships must track and report ammo sales; 5) Violators should be flagged and evaluated by a local public safety department; 6) All customers must present a valid firearms permit at the time of ammo purchase; 7) Increase taxes on ammo by 200%; and 8) Civilians shouldn't be permitted to purchase any ammo meant for war (such as grenades, armor-piercing ammo, etc.).
