The US Military is prevented from taking actions on US Soil by the Posse Comitatus Act. In other words, the federal government is prohibited from using military forces inside the US. There are a few exception, but all deal with enforcement of Constitutional rights. The same cannot be said of the Department of Homeland Security. This agency, over the last year has purchased exceptionally large quantities of military hardware, weapons and ammunition, none of which can possibly be for the purposes of training or target shooting. All inquiries into this have been met with silence by any agency that has been asked. As such, WE THE PEOPLE demand that the Posse Comitatus Act be amended to include certain actions by the Department of Homeland Security or any other federal agency.
