Politicians in Washington are supposed to represent the people of their State of District. Most of these Representatives have no idea how it is to be "normal" citizens! How can they represent us when they do not know what we go through? They can only ASSUME how it is to be "US". They tell us what they think we want to hear, but as soon as they are in Washington, they forget our interests (as we can see).
What I am proposing is a limit to Campaign funds to ensure that "WE" can represent "US", as planned by our Founding Fathers. As it is now, only the rich or those who have rich friends have a chance to be elected. How can you represent 99% of the people when 1% of the people paid for your campaign funding?!? Who are you really representing?!? Looking at recent history, it is NOT "US"!!
