Restrict highpowered engines in motor vehicles and require national background checks to operate all vehicles in public.

Created by L.G. on January 24, 2013

According the the CDC, auto accidents account for, by far, the majority of deaths for 5-14 yr. old children in America. Many people, groups, and the Obama administration are calling for the ban of certain guns and limits on how many bullets a gun can hold in order to save the lives of children. If politicians, and the American people really care about saving the lives of children, and are wiling to restrict the 2nd amendment rights of law abiding people, then they should support horsepower limits and background checks to keep deadly vehicles out of the reach of mentally unstable people and others who could cause massive carnage. These actions would certainly result in the saving of far more lives of children and adults than any gun control bill currently being proposed
