The energy commodity futures markets at the Chicago Mercantile Exchanges and New York Mercantile Exchange are out of control gambling casinos where any fool with an E-Trade account can drive up the price of oil, gasoline and diesel fuel by trading futures contracts with no intention of ever taking delivery because they are not capable of doing so. In the US there are less than 160 oil refineries capable of taking delivery of crude oil. The only locations capable of taking delivery of 10,000 gallons of gasoline or diesel fuel are local gas stations, or
If a bidder on these commodities is found to be incapable of taking delivery they must be sited for fraud and prosecuted.
