As we must not value money over mass murders, we must not continue normal relations with India. India values little the safety and well being of its female population as evidenced by its sloth-like speed of adjudicating heinous crimes against them.
Crimes such as female infanticide, the beatings of women whose dowry does not suit the families of the grooms, and of course the gang rapes that continue unabated, even in light of a recent vile and vicious attack, are condoned by the U.S. As long as we conduct business as usual with India, we are facilitators of the pernicious sickness in a prosecutorial system that too frequently fails to condemn such contempt for women.
We demand acute action against the Indian government. We require the U.S. to speak for all women. India is our stage.
