We believe that Handguns are most responsible for the majority of gun violence in America and must be included in
any gun control legislation. Handguns have little use for hunting or Home protection. Most security experts recommend a shotgun for home defense, not a handgun.
Handguns can be smuggled into schools and public places much more easily than an assault rifle or shotgun.
We ask that at least a 30 day waiting period be established nationwide and that a very detailed background check be
conducted during the wait period. A federal fee should be
applied to cover the cost of these background checks.
