Restrict the terms of Congressmen

Created by G.H. on March 06, 2013

The number of terms men and women serving in Congress can serve should be restricted. The office of President is limited to two terms to prevent one man from ruling the country for too long. We face this same issue on a much more local level, with local senators and representatives consistently being re-elected, some serving as much as their entire life in Congress. By limiting the number of terms a member of Congress can serve, fresh ideas would come into Congress more often, and would eliminate the possibility of people re-electing their senator or representative simply because they know the name.

In short, there should be a limit to the number of terms a man or woman in Congress can serve.
