Restrict travel of Guyanese diplomats and their families to the US until the prorogation of Parliament ends.

Created by E.L. on January 13, 2015

In a blatant and obvious affront to the democratic process, the Guyanese government prorogued Parliament to prevent the Parliament for holding them accountable for their actions, or lack thereof, since taking power 23 years ago.
Most notably, they include not holding local Government elections for 20+ years as constitutionally mandated and numerous instances of corruption.
Several representatives of governments from across the world have been and continue to be critical of Guyanese government and their actions, including the former US Ambassador to Guyana and the British High Commissioner.
A strong message should be sent to this government and governments like these that such actions are not tolerated.
