For a while now most employers that do background checks on their future employees or even their current ones in random screenings, use financial information to determine whether or not a candidate is suitable for employment. We've experience record numbers of unemployment, illegal foreclosures on houses, credit card debts from families trying to scrape by and if this practice continues... it prevents people from finding decent jobs to fix their credit scores and whatnot.
Employers have historically used credit scores, missed payments and even income to debt ratios to determine if someone is a risk for embezzlement, theft, blackmail and even equating bad credit to poor judgement and lack of responsibility. This practice needs to stop as it's only a hinderance to honest workers.
