restrict the use of motor vehicles due to the many Americans injured and killed every year

Created by B.E. on December 19, 2012

Last year, more than 2 million Americans were injured and nearly 33,000 were killed in motor vehicle accidents, more than firearms. The purchase of automobiles is extremely easy and seemingly unrestricted, endangering the safety of the public. Kids as young as 14 years old can be found controlling such dangerous machines in some states, and the vast majority of families have multiple vehicles. Many children are hit by these high speed metal projectiles, even in cross walks and school zones.
Automobiles are a pose a plethora of risks to the public, and they pollute, damaging the pristine and varied environment of the United States.
