On Monday October 21,2013, a 12-year old student went to Sparks Middle School in Sparks, Nevada with a semiautomatic Ruger 9 mm shotgun and shot two fellow classmates and killed popular math teacher, coach, father, and National Guardsman Michael Landsberry. Then proceeded to kill himself.
It has been speculated that the Westboro Baptist Church has decided to picket the funeral of this late hero because of religious beliefs.
We the people, not only of the Reno/Sparks area, believe that he should have a peaceful funeral to pay our respects to a fallen solider and beloved teacher as well as all that were affected by the tragedy to have struck the community of Washoe County and Nevada on October 21st.
