Restructure the American School System.

Created by R.F. on February 25, 2014

The school system is a toxic environment. We force large groups of people who are just learning to function in society to gather in one place for most of every day, give them little or no choice in what/how they learn, and emotionally berate them with threats like, “If you flunk out you’ll never get anywhere.” The fact of the matter is that even high degrees don’t guarantee a future, and it sets everyone on edge. I propose to restructure the school system so that children have more say in what and how they study, and for how long. This will create specialized workers who’ll be able to invent more jobs for people in their industries, as well as decrease the hostility of the school environment by giving students more voice in their future.
